Recipients of 2025 MYOF Scholarships Of Excellence Announced

The Maverick Youth Opportunities Fund (MYOF) 2025 Scholarships of Excellence were awarded to four graduating Maverick Volleyball athletes during the recent year-end banquet that celebrates athletes’ accomplishments during the 2024/25 season.

Every year, MYOF recognize two male and two female graduating athletes who will exemplify our vision of “building a stronger community build by exceptional youth”. Each of these athletes demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics, and community involvement. They were positive leaders on their teams, demonstrating commitment, selflessness, humility, coachability, and self-awareness.

Furthermore, these four athletes went the extra mile – going above and beyond to embody excellence in all aspects of their lives by exemplifying the core values of the Maverick Youth Opportunities Fund and the Maverick Volleyball Club.

We are proud to announce the 2025 recipients of the Scholarship of Excellence are:

1. Mia Jolicoeur – attending the Université of Moncton
2. Miranda Cai – attending McGill University
3. Sébastian Shewan – attending University of Ottawa
4. Grant Haley – attending Nipissing University
