To Attend a Post‑Secondary School

Have you been working hard to be an exemplary student, athlete, and community volunteer?

We know it isn’t easy to juggle all the demands placed on your time during high school! That’s why we would like to recognize your efforts as you move on to the next exciting stage of your life – UNIVERSITY or COLLEGE – with a Scholarship of Excellence!

What are the Criteria?

• Applicants must demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics, and community involvement.
• Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution (university or college).
• Applicants must submit three letters of reference that demonstrate excellence in:
  1. academics (i.e. teacher);
  2. athletics (i.e. gym teacher, coach); and,
  3. community involvement (i.e. leader/supervisor within  a non-profit organization, leader/supervisor of a extra-curricular activity within your school).
• The graduating athlete is not required to play for a varsity sport team.
• If you have received a scholarship from an American College or University that you are attending, you are not eligible for the Scholarship of Excellence.

What is the Deadline?

The annual application deadline is May 1st.

When will the winners be announced?

We will contact the winners directly and the winners will be announced on MYOF website and social media channels during the first week of June.

How do I apply?

• Complete the Scholarship of Excellence Application Form.
• Upload letters of reference from people who can validate your academic and athletic excellence, as well as your community involvement. Your coach may be contacted by the selection committee to provide a reference to determine your athletic excellence.
