With extensive experience spanning over 34 years in the Federal Public Service, Johanne brings a wealth of strategic vision and a deep-rooted culture of integrity to the Board of Directors. Having spent a decade in executive leadership roles—notably with an Agent of Parliament—she possesses a deep understanding of governance, compliance, and institutional accountability.

Beyond her professional expertise, her commitment to the Maverick Youth Opportunity Fund is driven by a sincere personal mission. As a mother of three young adults, including a dedicated volleyball player, she has witnessed firsthand how team sports serve as a powerful catalyst for growth, discipline, and self-confidence.

It is this conviction that fuels her involvement today: a desire to give back so that other young people can thrive through a shared love of sport. By blending her rigorous background as a senior leader with her perspective as a “sports mom,” Johanne is dedicated to ensuring the Foundation’s mission creates a real and lasting impact for the next generation of athletes.
